GovTech AI Assistant for public administration

40-60% of work in public administration is repetitive knowledge work, e.g. filling out forms and applications, drafting letters, research, preparing for meetings, translations, text summaries, document reviews, etc. Aleph Alpha's AI assistant was developed to automate all of this work, freeing up a lot of staff time and speeding up official processes - an all-in-one solution that eliminates the need for time-consuming use of various AI tools. Its central functions include a research assistant, text summarization and document conversation. It can also be used for text generation, transcriptions and translations. In contrast to generic AI tools, the AI assistant performs all functions in a contextualized manner, i.e. it takes the specific circumstances of the public administration into account.

The GovTech AI Assistant is indispensable because it compensates for the growing staff shortage by saving an enormous amount of time, makes public administration more efficient and can be used securely and in compliance with GDPR thanks to STACKIT's data-sovereign cloud.

The GovTech AI Assistant has been co-designed by users since the beginning in order to reflect the specific needs and contexts of public administration. To this end, it is constantly being expanded with new functions that already incorporate multiple user experiences from the beta version. Feedback can be provided directly from the AI assistant in addition to surveys. There is also a community with user meetings and networking opportunities. The large amount of user-specific feedback means that improvements and innovations can be implemented quickly. For example, a regulation and legal assistant with a deep understanding of the law is to be added.
