What are the price advantages in cloud computing?

Billing in regions and availability zones

With the cloud regions Germany-South and Austria-West, we offer you 2 regions with three availability zones each. The service offering and billing differ depending on the region and the availability zone (Single Availability Zone and Metro Availability Zone).

Single

The virtual machine (VM) in the single zone is permanently bound to a selected AZ, i.e. the virtual machine is not automatically restarted on AZ2 if AZ1 fails, for example.

Metro

In this setup, the virtual machine is located in a metro zone that is distributed across two or more different availability zones. This replicated distribution enables the high availability of your IT infrastructure to be achieved. The naming scheme for metro services ends with the suffix "-m".
