STACKIT Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) is based on the STACKIT Compute Engine and provides virtual machines (VMs) that can run the Red Hat Enterprise Linux operating system. STACKIT offers ready-made standard images with Red Hat Enterprise Linux variants (e.g. Red Hat Enterprise Linux 9) for various use cases via the STACKIT Cloud Portal or via the STACKIT API.

The license costs for Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server depend on the number of vCPUs of the virtual machine on which you will use the server. We offer three monthly pricing tiers based on the number of vCPUs:

• Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server License for VM with 1 to 8 vCPUs-EU01 - 8.96 EUR per vCPU per month
• Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server license for VM with 9 to 127 vCPUs-EU01 - 6.72 EUR per vCPU per month
• Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server license for VM with 127 or more vCPUs-EU01 - $5.97 per vCPU per month

If your VM has 8 vCPUs, you must pay:
Number of vCPUs * "Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server License for VM with 1 to 8 vCPUs-EU01" = 8 * 8.96 = 71.68 EUR per month for licensing your operating system.
