Are you ready to start your career in the cloud? With the STACKIT Cloud Accelerator Program, you have the opportunity to become a cloud developer in 8 months.

Your cloud entry

More than just a trainee program:
We will turn you into a cloud professional in just 8 months - as a permanent Junior Cloud Engineer.

  • Intensive practical experience: work hand in hand with our experienced cloud experts. You will learn the latest developments and methods directly in practice.
  • Knowledge & network: Get to know the latest developments and methods at first hand. Exciting challenges will challenge you and you will benefit from a valuable network of experts for your professional and personal development.
  • Ready for your career: After the program, you will be optimally prepared for your cloud career.

Start dates: Annually on April 01 and October 01.

Your learning curve starts steeply: You will spend the first 12 weeks on site in the office, get to know the STACKITEERs personally, have intensive training and customized training tobuild up comprehensive cloud know-howand thus make the optimal turbo start for your STACKIT Cloud career. After that, you can work in a hybrid working model.

How YOU can get on board

The structured application process leads you to the Cloud Accelerator program in three steps:

The first step starts with an online assessment, which gives us an initial picture of your professional skills.

In the second step, we want to get a picture of you as a person and conduct an initial telephone interview. This selection step takes place remotely

The final step: We send you a coding challenge, which you work on independently at home, after which we invite you to a personal selection day in Heilbronn. There you will present your solution and convince us in the final interview. Please note the fixed selection days listed in the current job advertisement on our careers page.

What YOU should bring with you

  • You are looking for an entry-level position in the future-oriented cloud environment
  • Ideally, you have already gained initial internship experience in the cloud environment
  • You have a good basic knowledge of programming
  • You are interested in topics ranging from operating systems to web applications and have already gained some experience in development, preferably in Java, Go, TypeScript or Python
  • You have a basic knowledge of Git, containers, internet protocols, databases and REST

Your journey in the Cloud Accelerator program

The STACKIT Cloud Accelerator program consists of two phases with different building blocks.
We start with onboarding and then move on to the "Develop & Grow" phase.

Onboarding

Joining the STACKIT Cloud Accelerator program is quick and easy. Once you have been hired, you can expect intensive and exciting onboarding with two modules:

Arriving

1 week

We're delighted that you're on board and get straight to work. After the initial introductory events, we will provide you with the necessary technology and equipment and introduce you to the teams and your colleagues.

Getting Ready

8 weeks

Now that you are part of the team, we can start with deep dives on products, processes, solutions, general concepts for cloud computing. In addition, we make you fit in Go programming, Kubernetes, as well as our Agile Working methods.

Develop & Grow

After onboarding, we hit the ground running. Because with us, growth is the order of the day - both professionally and personally. From project management skills to communication training, our program will make you fit for the modern working world. We give you time for further education and training to gain experience.

The theory is the foundation - but you will grow above all by working in one of our product teams and supporting Cloud Engineers in the development of their services.

Growing Together

Two-day workshop

We start with an offsite event together with the Lead Engineers and all program participants. The Lead Engineers will introduce you to cloud projects that you will be working on together over the next 6 months. The main focus here is on getting to know each other and team building.

Future Innovations

6 MONTHS FOCUS PROJECT

Now it's time to hit the ground running. You will be integrated into the daily work of the product teams using agile development methods. Here too, one of our Lead Engineers will be at your side. And this much can be revealed: This is where the hearts of all cloud fans beat faster when developing our services.

Training Days

BIWEEKLY DURING THE 6-MONTH PROJECT PERIOD

You've really come a long way! While you are working full-time on the project, we offer you a bi-weekly Training Day, where relevant content for you is deepened in workshops and self-learning formats.
 

Goal achieved

Your STACKIT Cloud Accelerator certificate

Congratulations to you! You've made it and proven yourself in the STACKIT Cloud Accelerator program. Now you can hit the ground running as a Junior Cloud Engineer at STACKIT. On top of that, you will receive a certificate from us at the end of the program, in which the various stations and challenges with us are recorded.
