Windows Server

STACKIT Windows Server is based on the STACKIT Compute Engine and offers virtual machines (VM) that can run the Microsoft Windows Server operating system. STACKIT offers standard images (e.g. Windows Server 2022 Standard) and customers can select the Windows Server variant suitable for their use case from the predefined variants in the STACKIT Cloud Portal or via the STACKIT API.

• Thanks to the simple cost structure, costs are transparent and predictable.

The license costs for Windows Server are calculated based on two factors:

1. The number of virtual CPUs (vCPUs) in your virtual machine.
2. Whether the vCPUs are shared or dedicated.

We offer two monthly pricing tiers based on the vCPU settings:

• Windows Server Standard License for VM with shared vCPU - EU01: €13.54 per vCPU/month
• Windows Server standard license for VM with dedicated vCPU-EU01: €39.43 per vCPU/month

If you use a VM with 8 shared vCPUs, you must pay:
Number of vCPUs * " Windows Server Standard License for VM with shared vCPU-EU01″ = 8 * 13.54 = 108.32 EUR per month for licensing your operating system.
