Compute Engine

STACKIT Compute Engine delivers scalable and performant virtual machines (VM) within seconds. In addition to a large number of customer-managed operating systems, variants managed by STACKIT are also available. In addition to the STACKIT Compute Engine service, customers have the option of uploading their own images. STACKIT provides additional images.

For VM as self-service, both the STACKIT portal as a management UI and the automatable STACKIT IaaS API can be used. Various VM types with standardized CPU/RAM ratios are available.

• Instances can be created quickly and easily via the self-service user interface in the STACKIT portal - from individual VMs to entire virtual data centers.
• With the STACKIT IaaS API, system deployments can be automated and reproduced.
• STACKIT provides a variety of system sizes (flavors) for different use cases with different sizing requirements.
• Existing environments can be set up and expanded or reduced and dismantled individually and cost-effectively at any time.
• As the VMs can be controlled in a variety of ways, standardized or specific system environments can be mapped - simply, securely and stably.

• The intuitive management GUI makes it easy to deploy VMs.
• Ad hoc changes to resource requirements (e.g. number of VMs) can be implemented flexibly and intuitively in just a few seconds.
