The search for higher data protection and information security standards
New customer groups brought new requirements. Universities, municipalities, local authorities and the healthcare sector in particular demanded the highest data protection standards and data storage and processing exclusively in Germany (data sovereignty), even exceeding the requirements of the GDPR. Hyperscalers are often subject to the CLOUD Act. This US law allows the US authorities to access data stored outside the USA by American IT companies and cloud providers.
In the search for a German cloud solution that met the desired security and data protection standards, the focus turned to STACKIT. The special thing about STACKIT was above all the opportunity to help shape the cloud solution. Ideas, individual requests and suggestions for improvement were gladly accepted and implemented where appropriate. A direct contact person was provided for individual cloud settings.
